Marine Biology

What is Marine Biology?
Marine Biology is the scientific study of marine life, organisms in the sea. Given that in biology many phyla families and genera have some species that live in the sea and other that live on land, marine biology classifies species based on the environment rather than on taxonomy.

What does a Marine Biologist do?
A marine biologist studies ocean organisms. They protect, observe, study and manage marine organisms, animals, plants and microbes. Therefore, Marine Biologists hold many titles and specializations.
